What is the SEC Fee?

The SEC Section 31 Transaction Fees

Charged by the SRO to the Broker Dealer.  These fees recover the costs incurred by the government, including the SEC, for supervising and regulating the securities markets and securities professionals. Additional details can be found on the SEC Website.

How is the fee assessed?

The fee is assessed on sell orders as a percentage of the principal amount of the transaction.
