Trade Fees
Trade Fee Categories
PropReports can process fees attached to executions termed "direct fees." By default, there are eleven fee categories:
Category | Fee Description |
---|---|
Commission | A service charge assessed by your firm |
Exchange (ECN) | A credit or debit charge assessed by the electronic communication network used to obtain shares |
NSCC | A transaction fee created by the National Securities Clearing Corporation |
Clearing | A service charge assessed by your clearing firm |
TAF | A regulatory fee FINRA assesses to recover the costs of supervising and regulating firms |
SEC | A transaction fee created by the Securities Exchange Commission |
MISC | A service charge assessed by your firm |
ORF | Option Regulatory Fee |
NFA | An assessment fee by National Futures Association |
Access | Access Fee |
CAT | Consolidated Audit Trail. See https://www.sec.gov/files/34-98290-fact-sheet.pdf |
You can rename any of the categories if that need arises. The name change would be applicable to all accounts on that instance. Email the name change request to support@propreports.com.
These fees can be either:
- imported together with the trading activity,
- manually entered
- automatically assessed via a fee schedule formula.
No Fee Plans
If there are imported fees on trading activity that you wish to zero out, you can do so by creating and assigning a No Fee plan for that trade fee category.
Here's an example of a No Fee plan:
Formula Type | Formula |
---|---|
Fee Rules | => 0 |
