The Trades report shows the P&L for a completed or "round trip" trade only. In PropReports, a completed trade is defined as a set of transactions from the time a position is opened until the time it goes flat.

Discrepancies Between Reports
Totals on the Trades report can include profits realized on previous days and will exclude profits from partially closed trades. This means that if there is overnight trading activity, the total profit/loss will not match other reports. For example, given the following set of trades:
Date | Side | Shares | Symbol | Price |
---|---|---|---|---|
Monday | B | 100 | XYZ | $1.00 |
Tuesday | S | 50 | XYZ | $2.00 |
Wednesday | S | 50 | XYZ | $2.00 |
The Trades report will show $0 profit on Monday, $0 profit on Tuesday and $100 profit on Wednesday. This is because the XYZ trade was only completed on Wednesday.
Date | Qty | Trades Report Realized | Totals By Date Report Realized |
---|---|---|---|
Monday | 100 | $0 | $0 |
Tuesday | 50 | $0 | $50 |
Wednesday | 0 | $100 | $50 |
Total | $100 | $100 |
